On a personal note thank you very much for the way in which you have handled the legal support surrounding my dad's estate. I have found your advice to be very useful and the sympathy you have shown when we have communicated has been welcome.

Elderly Client Liaison Service

We offer legal and practical advice to clients on:

  • Wills
  • income tax
  • inheritance tax
  • tax planning
  • creation of powers of attorney
  • advice as to ownership of your property, especially if you are intending to either move in with your family or your family intends to move in with you or you are thinking of buying/selling
  • we also work closely with a local firm of Independent Financial Advisors who can offer advice on financial planning

For over 60 years we have helped generations of families. There has been a growing need for additional, practical support for clients in nursing homes, residential care or those that are housebound. Our client liaison service was developed to fully support clients when they don't need to see a solicitor but do need practical help, perhaps because they do not want to rely on family/friends or because they are not living nearby.

We can arrange liaison personnel to visit you and talk you through your needs. For example:-

  • Our client liaison personnel can visit you in your nursing/residential home on a 2 monthly basis to ensure you feel your needs are being met e.g. accommodation, food, money;
  • They can visit you at home and help with practical issues such as post, helping with repairs/maintenance, even selling your home.
  • They work closely with solicitors so the service is integrated with our legal services to clients e.g. power of attorney.
