Issues with Employees
Q. Do your employees have a contract of employment?
Q. Are you facing a discrimination claim?
Q. Do you have a disciplinary issue with an employee?
Q. Are you facing a grievance from one of your employees?
Resolution
• All employers should give their employees a Contract of Employment within 2 months of their start date
• It is important that employers deal with allegations of discrimination promptly and correctly. If you do not, the compensation is uncapped
• Employers need to be reasonable when responding to employee's grievances and taking disciplinary action against their employees. If you do not follow correct procedure and ACAS code and face a claim, the Employment Tribunal may increase the employee's compensation by up to 25%.
