Family Department

Penny Lewis is head of the Family department. Having qualified in 1982 she has over 15 years experience in family law including high net-worth cases. Other experience includes business and pensions including complex financial settlement. Penny is a trustee of Homestart, which is an organisation that offers support for families with at least one child under 5. She is also involved in Mental Health as a hospital manager hearing appeals from patients who want to be discharged. In her spare time, if there is any, Penny enjoys listening to opera and classical music and is now learning to play the piano. Pauline Rust has been working for Smith Law Partnership for four years having worked in a Solicitors office nearly all her working life. Pauline has experience in litigation, conveyancing, company law, criminal and family. She has 'A' levels in Law and English Literature and has obtained her Part I years 1 and 2 Legal Executive qualification. Pauline enjoys socialising, going to the theatre, concerts, humanitarian aid work and in this respect she has been an aid worker since 1991 and is involved in all aspects of the work having set up a charity. Juliet Salmon is a recent addition to the team - she works as a Legal Secretary to Penny Lewis and is enjoying her new role. Juliet has two children which take up most of her spare time! Sundays in the summer months are usually spent at Motorcross meetings where her Husband competes in local championships - a very enjoyable family day out! Juliet has travelled to Sri Lanka, Nicaragua, Georgia and America and has helped build houses with poor families - an excellent experience, which she found challenging and very rewarding. juliet@slpsolicitors.co.uk
